Senior Software Engineer
Our start-up provides a data registration platform to identify and link critical enterprise data objects such as medicinal products, substances, organisms, clinical studies, devices, or locations. This helps our big life-science customers to collaborate more effectively and to bring new drugs faster to the market with increased patient safety. As a senior software engineer, you are part of the product development team.

Your tasks

System design, data modeling, and development of complex applications

Development of modern design structures

Performance analysis and optimization

Determination of operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions

Ensuring compliance with software development standards and best practices

Proactive and individual management of risks, issues, and enhancements

Supporting and mentoring team members
Your profile

Java programming skills (min. three years)

Experience in object-oriented analysis and design patterns

Capable of writing unit and integration tests

Experience with system performance tuning on all levels (incl. Java/JVM, SQL, cache management, etc.)

Experience in an agile environment in previous positions

Good analytical and structured thinking

You have solid empathic skills and the ability to collaborate across team boundaries with different stakeholders

Strong English communication skills, both written and verbally
